STEPS
-
In a small bowl combine refried beans and taco seasoning. Spread the mixture into a 13 x 9 pan.
-
Next layer salsa, guacamole, sour cream, and cheese. To finish, top with olives and diced tomatoes. Green onions or cilantro work well as optional toppings if you have any on hand. We recommend putting your guacamole/avocado layer under another layer like sour cream to keep it from browning.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving. The longer you allow your dish to sit in the refrigerator, the more the flavors will combine. This dish can be made ahead and stored in your refrigerator for about 3 days.
Optional:
Create even more layers with chopped onions, bell peppers, pineapple, or any of your other favorite ingredients. You could also do a beef/bean mixture to add a little more protein, or a layer of shredded lettuce to add more texture.
